Dune Patrol Mutual Aid

Dune Patrol is a post-punk band dedicated to using our free time, resources, and community connections to help people facing crisis. Through mutual aid, transportation assistance, resource coordination, and grassroots support, we work to assist unhoused individuals and others affected by hardship, displacement, and policies that criminalize poverty.

We believe in solidarity, direct action, and neighbors helping neighbors when they need it most.

Beginning July 1, 2026, Indiana's new public camping law (SEA 285) makes it illegal to camp, sleep, or use public property as long-term shelter. After receiving a warning and information about available services, individuals who remain in the same area may face criminal charges, fines, and possible jail time. While supporters argue the law encourages people to seek assistance, many advocates and service providers worry it will further burden people experiencing homelessness without addressing the root causes of housing insecurity.

Dune Patrol Mutual Aid was formed in response to this growing need. Our goal is to connect vulnerable individuals with resources, transportation, shelter options, and community support, ensuring that people facing hardship are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
